“List of Countries, Whose Citizens do not Require Visas “
A foreigner may be issued a visa when he:
has a valid travel document, which validity period exceeds the validity period of the requested visa by 3 months;
has documents which indicate the purpose and conditions of the foreigner’s visit or stay in the Republic of Lithuania, the availability or sources of livelihood during the stay in the Republic of Lithuania, the availability of funds for returning to the country of origin or transiting across the territory of the Republic of Lithuania to another country, as well as a list of visits to and residence in foreign countries, and presents them upon request;
is not included into the list of foreigners who are forbidden to enter the Republic of Lithuania;
has a valid health insurance certificate;
has the right to return to the country from which he has arrived or the country of citizenship or has the right to travel to another country.
In general, application and documents for visa shall be presented by the applicant personally. Only with the prior consent of the consul applications might be sent by post (applications received without prior agreement would not be processed and be delivered back to the sender). Please note that applications of nationals of certain states can only be accepted if submitted personally.
Applications are processed and decision is taken within 7 workdays.
